Open Network Platforms
New levels of innovation and efficiency with open networking hardware.
Open networking choice, unified network simplicity
Leveraging the principles of hyperscaler disaggregation, Pluribus Netvisor ONE and the Unified Cloud Fabric run on a wide range of open hardware platforms. Whether you choose Pluribus Freedom Series switches or open networking switches from our partners, Pluribus unifies your data center cloud network with a common OS and common network operations model across all hardware platforms.
Open Networking
Similar to how server disaggregation has evolved and delivered tremendous cost efficiencies and software and hardware innovation, open networking switches disaggregate the hardware and software layers of traditional, vertically integrated switching platforms. With millions of bare metal switches per year consumed by hyperscalers, these open networking switches are based on standardized merchant silicon and boast high volume production to achieve cost efficiencies, while also enabling independent software and hardware innovation. As a result, cloud operators now have a choice of both open, standards-based, bare-metal hardware and open software, including the Netvisor® ONE OS and the Unified Cloud Fabric software. Open networking principles enable organizations to assemble the best combination of networking hardware and software to meet their specific deployment requirements, while increasing flexibility, and reducing acquisition and operational costs.
Open Networking Switches

The Pluribus Netvisor® ONE OS and the Unified Cloud Fabric software runs on a wide-range of Open Compute Project (OCP) and Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) compliant network switches. These switches, from partners like Dell and Edgecore, provide cost effective, high density and high performance switching solutions at 10, 25, 100 and 400 GbE in 1RU or 2RU form factors.
